The funny car is owned and driven by Deputy Joe LoMonaco. It was
originally owned by Mark Woznichak, it is a 2004 Pontiac Trans Am, which
we've changed the body to a Chevy Caprice. It is powered by a 526 cu in
Keith Black Hemi. The fasted time (by Marc was 6.30 at about 230mph) It
currently runs in the California Independent Funny Car Circut. Today we
compete in the 7.50 class and are a crowd pleaser at many events.
Deputy LoMonaco has been a Deputy for 23 Years and has worked a
variety of assignments. Mens Central Jail, Lynwood Sheriff's Station,
Norwalk Sheriff's Station, Advanced Training Bureau, and most recently
Walnut Sheriff's Station.
He has also worked assignments such as, Patrol, Community
Relations, Special Assignment Deputy, Explorer/Reserve Coordinator,
Community Oriented Police Services, and LASD Motorsprts Team.
